How to Use Instagram Story Templates
Now that you’ve seen some of our Instagram Story templates in action, it’s time to learn how to use them. Before we get into all the different ways you can customize our Instagram Story templates, here’s a quick tutorial to introduce you to the ins and outs of our iOS app.
Selecting a template
Once you’ve installed the app, simply log in to view all the templates. Tap to preview and, when you’ve found the template that’s right for you, tap CONTINUE to get started.
Customizing a template
Once you’ve selected a template, it’s time to customize it. All of our Instagram Story templates can be completely changed to suit your needs.
- Add your own media. Easily replace template imagery with your own photos and video clips. Select from your device, or search our stock library, featuring photos from Getty Images.
- Update or remove text. Tap into each of the text fields in the template and change the copy to anything you’d like. Don’t want text? Easily remove it.
- Change text color or font. Select from the full rainbow of colors and a selection of 36 Instagram Story fonts.
- Delete, add, or rearrange blocks. No need to feel restricted! You can remove any section of a template, or add a new section to tell your unique story.
- Add your logo. If the template contains a Logo block, update it with your own logo! And even if it doesn’t, feel free to add a logo block. You can also store your logo and go-to colors and fonts with Brand Settings.
- Change the music. There are over 700 tracks in the app. Update the template with your favorite!
- Change text or video style. Change the look of your video by switching the text or video style. Text styles are options for how text animates on screen while video styles let you choose from an array of design treatments.
